Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–10 pm. Santa Monica is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Santa Monica follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We had a wonderful lunch at North Italia in Santa Monica and left full and very happy. I ordered the Crushed Meatball Ragu, which was flavorful, rich and absolutely delicious. I also had the meatballs as an appetizer, and they were excellent. Our son has celiac disease, so eating safely is extremely important to us. The restaurant was able to prepare gluten-free penne with Bolognese sauce for him, and he really enjoyed it. My wife ordered the Little Gem Caesar with chicken, which was also very good. The chicken was initially missing, and my appetizer arrived a little later than expected, but both issues were handled quickly and professionally. Small mistakes can happen, and the attentive way the staff resolved them gave us no reason to take away a star. We especially appreciated that the team appeared knowledgeable about gluten-free requirements and took our son’s needs seriously. Based on our experience, North Italia is a very good option for guests with celiac disease. Of course, anyone with celiac disease should always speak directly with the staff and confirm the current preparation procedures, as menus and kitchen practices can change. The restaurant has a stylish and welc

Overall, we had a good experience. The atmosphere was wonderful, the restaurant was very clean, and the food was delicious. I’m giving 4 stars because my husband’s pasta was extremely spicy, even though there was no indication on the menu that it would be spicy. We checked the menu and asked our server, who explained that the chef had added chili flakes to the dish. As a result, my husband couldn’t eat it. We appreciated that the restaurant handled the situation professionally and removed the dish from our bill. It would be helpful if spicy ingredients were clearly indicated on the menu or if guests were informed in advance.

This is a great place to go just after the beach as it’s such a short walk away. Everything here is always excellent! The fig and prosciutto pizza and fontina polenta are amazing. The highlight of our night was our server Evelyn who went above and beyond giving us recommendations, checking in on us, and taking special care communicating with the kitchen about my partner’s gluten allergy. Will definitely be back soon, thanks Evelyn!

The vibes were great and the servers were helpful and easy to talk to. We got quite a few dishes. I personally tried the Margherita pizza, the sea bass, the calamari, and the arincini. The apps were good, flavored well and came with several dipping options! My negative is with the pizza. It may just be that I wasn’t expecting it, but the crust was a bit thicker than typical margherita pizzas from Italian restaurants. It also lacked basil. My family got two of the pastas, they enjoyed them but expressed it could use some additional salt and seasonings. I wouldn’t consider the pricing outrageous, but it is by no means affordable and I think based on that, the portion sizes (pastas were a bit small), and the taste of the food, I’m ultimately giving it a 3/5.

Last-minute dinner on a Friday night of a holiday weekend, fully expected a long wait and chaos. Instead: no wait, smooth seating, and genuinely great service. Already winning. We ordered the calamari to start (perfectly crisp, not greasy), split a pizza that was solid and satisfying, and I had a pasta with a white sauce that was rich, comforting, and exactly what I wanted. Everything came out hot, well-paced, and clearly made with care. For a spontaneous plan on one of the busiest nights of the weekend, this was an easy, enjoyable dinner. Consistent food, attentive service, and zero stress. Would absolutely come back, especially knowing they can handle a crowd without dropping the ball.
